We Want to Meet Your Child
BBMCS students experience spiritual, intellectual, cultural, aesthetic, moral, social, and physical activities inside and outside the classroom. The curricular program includes the core subjects of theology, math, reading, English, science/health, and social studies. At the elementary level, other course offerings include art, PE, computer, and music. All kinder through 4th-grade classes are self-contained while 5th through 8th-grade classes are departmentalized. All 5th through 8th-grade students are also offered PE, computer, music, and CHamoru classes. The co-curricular program for elementary students includes math Olympiads, mock trials, science fairs, art contests, and spelling bees. Middle school students participate in spelling bee, geography bee, Math Counts, Academic Challenge Bowl, art competitions, oratorical and essay contests, and interscholastic sports (volleyball, cross country, basketball, flag rugby, and soccer).
Throughout the school year, there are many opportunities for the students to share their time, talents, and treasure with others. Student Council and National Junior Honor Society members take the lead in assisting with various school events. Middle school students partner up with elementary students for buddy reading and puppet shows. Students also practice the works of mercy by sharing their food with the poor and elderly, visiting the elderly and sick sisters at the mercy care center, praying for the sick and dying during class prayers and at monthly mass, and donating to various archdiocesan causes/events to help the poor.
The Obispo experience is one to be remembered. When students graduate from BBMCS, they often return to provide community service or just to reconnect with their teachers and Obispo family. The BBMCS stakeholders make up a tight knit community and this makes it easier to keep tabs on where our graduates are and what they have accomplished. BBMCS students do well in high school with many attending college and eventually leading very happy and productive lives.
