Living Rosary

On a designated day in October, the BBMCS community assembles in the school gym to pray the rosary together. Families are invited to attend and participate.

Thanksgiving Food Drive

Students and their families are given the opportunity to share their food and other nonperishable items with those in the island community who need assistance. Representatives from the following organizations were invited to attend the Thanksgiving prayer service and to accept the donations of the BBMCS community: Kusinan Kamalen Karidat, Guma San Jose, Sinajana Community through the Sinajana Mayor’s office, Catholic Social Services, Mercy Pantry, and Alee Shelter.

Read4Fun Storybook Character Parade

One month of the school year is designated as Read4Fun month. The joy of reading is the primary focus for the month. Several activities take place, but the kickoff event is always the storybook character parade.

Archbishop Byrnes Visit

Archbishop Michael Jude Byrnes made his annual visit to the school. He celebrated mass with the entire school community. Afterward, he spoke briefly to all those present and then answered students’ questions. It was a blessing to be in the archbishop’s presence and to hear him speak on various topics. Thank you Archbishop Byrnes!

Catholic Schools Week

Celebrating Catholic Schools Week (CSW) is always so much fun for everyone. The students especially look forward to the Father Duenas Memorial School NJROTC Color Guard presentation (17 members of the group are BBMCS graduates), the pep rally, and the school dance. The parents particularly enjoy the school luncheon wherein they can spend lunch with their children. Thank you parents for choosing Catholic education but most especially, thank you for choosing BBMCS!

How silently and brilliantly the lamp in the sanctuary burns…when the oil is pure and good; it is only when it is otherwise that it twinkles and makes noise.
